La escultura de sitio específico fue construida con rocas volcánicas del entorno y una tela celeste insertada en su interior, formando un cubo de 1 m³. La pieza hace referencia tanto a la simplicidad arquitectónica como a la importancia de las cisternas en la vida cotidiana de la isla de Pantelleria.
El título, Cubo para contener el mar, introduce un juego metafórico que puede interpretarse como la imposibilidad de controlar lo incontrolable, subrayando la lucha constante del ser humano por contener y dominar la naturaleza.

This site-specific sculpture was built using volcanic rocks from the surrounding area and a light blue fabric inserted into its center, forming a 1 m³ cube. The piece references both architectural simplicity and the essential role of cisterns in the daily life of the island of Pantelleria.
The title, Cube to contain the sea, introduces a metaphor that can be interpreted as the impossibility of controlling the uncontrollable, highlighting the ongoing human struggle to contain and dominate the natural world.
