Sobre la obra:
Pezzo di cosa se propone como una representación fragmentada de la isla de Pantelleria al documentar los distintos tipos de rocas presentes en los cuatro climas diferenciados según la altitud del territorio. A su vez, la obra funciona como contrapunto de la serie Montaña Grande, en la cual un “pedazo” de la isla reemplaza visualmente la mano que lo sostiene. Esta relación enfatiza la tensión entre la escala del cuerpo humano y la vastedad del paisaje natural, una constante en mi trabajo de los últimos años.

About:
Pezzo di cosa is conceived as a fragmented representation of the island of Pantelleria, documenting the different types of rocks found across the four distinct climatic zones defined by the territory’s altitude. At the same time, the work functions as a counterpoint to the series Montagna Grande, in which a “piece” of the island visually replaces the hand that holds it. This relationship emphasizes the tension between the scale of the human body and the vastness of the natural landscape, a recurring concern in my work over recent years.
