El título de la imagen sugiere la idea de utilizar el cuerpo como una herramienta para señalar la dirección del Este, hacia la salida del sol. Sin embargo, ante la falta de referentes espaciales claros, su postura funciona simplemente como un intento de apuntar hacia una orientación. De esta manera, no importa si físicamente el cuerpo está alineado con el punto cardinal, como la aguja de una brújula; sino que, ante su aparente extravío –tanto físico como espiritual–, busca encontrar un punto de referencia. Metafóricamente, la dirección que toma el cuerpo no es solo un intento de orientarse en el espacio físico, sino también de encontrar un lugar en el tiempo, buscando un retorno a los orígenes al reconectar con el entorno, en el cual se encuentra inmerso.

The title of the image suggests the idea of using the body as a tool to indicate the direction of the East, toward the sunrise. However, in the absence of clear spatial reference points, the posture functions simply as an attempt to point toward an orientation. In this way, it does not matter whether the body is physically aligned with the cardinal point, like the needle of a compass; rather, in the face of its apparent disorientation—both physical and spiritual—it seeks to find a point of reference. Metaphorically, the direction the body takes is not only an attempt to orient itself in physical space, but also to find a place in time, seeking a return to origins by reconnecting with the surrounding environment in which it is immersed.
